Without You

Kim
Without you
I wouldn’t have been a hardware person
I wouldn’t have learned to mix paint
Or cut keys – at least one-sided ones J
Or about difficult customers
Or about great ones either
Without you
I wouldn’t have worked with 2 of my sons
Or watched them become responsible salespeople
Or seen them make friends with other adults
Adults, like you, who valued them for themselves
Without you
Mine and my kids’ lives wouldn’t have the memories they have
There wouldn’t have been a place to make emergency hardware runs to
Or such a successful rehearsal dinner
Or a wedding cake cut
Or a wedding shower hosted – in a hardware theme of course
Without you
I wouldn’t have scrapbooked after hours at the store
Or made neck chillers for soldiers
Or tied blankets
Or made cards
Without you
We wouldn’t have had our gang
We wouldn’t have found out the hospital has the best value meal around
Or worn red hats and boas to Ruby Tuesdays
Or the Cheese Factory
Or Breadeaux
Without you
I wouldn’t have laughed so hard
Or so often
Or cried over problems
Or found comfort
Without you
I wouldn’t have talked and talked
For hours
About everything
And nothing
Without youI would not have found a friend
A dear friend
Who I will miss
Because now we are – Without you
