Purposeful Celebrating

It is a healing kind of day.  Karla is hosting our work day and Team Kim is knee deep in photos and memories.  We have pictures, scrapbooks, scanners and computers scattered throughout 3 rooms of her house.  The music is playing and we have started “purposeful” celebrating.  It makes us miss her even more.  We are sharing lots of stories, some sad, some cute, some funny, all heartwarming.  Fifty-two years of purposeful living makes for lots of material.

Shane and his kids are taking time together in Omaha today.  Terri is at the house organizing and making lists.  We all have jobs and are glad to stay busy.  If Kim were here and if she was her healthy self, she would have the biggest list.  Not because we would try to be unfair, not us;).  It would be because she would keep adding to her own list with more great ideas and saying that it is something she could do.  She continues to be our inspiration.

Some are gathering at Shane’s to watch the Nebraska football game a little later. It feels good to be together. The family finds comfort in the company of good people.
