Thank you for your support

Hi Everyone

Kim had a Dr.’s appointment on Monday and it was decided to take her off chemo for now because the side effects of her neuropathy had gotten worse and they felt it was time to re-evaluate her chemo treatments. Neuropathy is the medical term for nerve damage, usually to the peripheral nerves in the hands, feet, arms, and legs. Chemotherapy drugs are toxic to healthy nerve cells, as well as to cancer cells. When those nerves begin to stop working, the result is tingling, numbness, weakness, and pain, even an impaired sense of touch.

Kim will have a CAT Scan this Thursday and then meet with Dr. Grem an oncology specialist at the Med Center on Friday. She will know more this coming week as to what the next step will be.

On a personal note – Kim is very excited about the upcoming Relay for Life Plant Sale that will be held in Syracuse May 7-8-9. Kim’s decision to meet cancer head on and not give up is an inspiration to all of us. If you have time please stop by the plant sale and join her and her family in the fight to beat cancer. If you are unable to attend but would like to support Kim and her Relay for Life team you can do so by visiting Kamp Kim’s website.

Thank you for all the love and support you give Kim and our family
